WELCOMING YOU TO LMOI
Liberia Mission Outreach International is a Christian ministry called to the task of evangelizing, providing short term assistance, and discipleship to the underprivileged people of rual Liberia Liberia, West Africa with the message of hope and plan of Jesus Christ.
Our Primary Goal
The Liberia Mission was founded four years ago, and our goal is to provide clean water to the people of Liberia as a means of sharing the gospel.
844 million people live without clean water in the world. 2.3 billion people do not have access to basic sanitation. In Liberia alone, more than 1 million Liberians do not have access to clean water. Every day, a child dies from a preventable waterborne disease,
and Children miss millions of days of school each year fetching water and fighting illness. The water crisis keeps children trapped in a cycle of poverty. They miss school when they are sick, or when schools don’t have clean water and safe bathrooms.
Most deaths of children under five are caused by preventable diseases. The most common contributor? Unsafe water and poor sanitation/hygiene.
Four years ago, the Lord laid on my heart to help the people of Liberia. I was unsure about what he was calling me to do. After spending much time and seeking a clear direction, I was convinced that he wanted me to build wells to provide clean drinking water.
The calling started with the people of owensgrove and as the lord provided, we extended our work to other parts of Liberia. To date, we have built over 20 hands pumps that are providing safe drinking water to over 25,000 Liberians. Part of our work in Liberia has led us to build school and latrine for young children. in 2015, we constructed a 10-classroom school in owensgrove for 200 children. We also constructed laterite in December 2019 for the children of the same school.
We are currently constructing another school in Nimba County for 250 children who walked 8 miles to school every day. The primary purpose of our work is to share the gospel. In the last three years, more than 2000 villagers have accepted the gospel of Christ. Recently, we baptized 25 people in the village of owensgrove, Liberia.
